David Rout, Executive Director (eight years of service)
David joined Homeward Alliance in 2012 and became the Executive Director in 2014. He holds a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Colorado State University. He represents Homeward Alliance on multiple task forces, serves on Colorado State University’s School of Social Work Advisory Board and sits on the Board of Directors for Outreach Fort Collins and Homeward 2020.
Linda Nuss, Operations Director (six years of service)
Linda joined Homeward Alliance in 2014 as the Hand Up Program Manager. She is an entrepreneur, former small business owner and certified life coach.
Pam Brewer, Development Director (three years of service)
Pam Brewer holds a Bachelors in Sociology and Anthropology from Syracuse University. She first served as Volunteer and Event Coordinator at Homeward Alliance beginning in late 2016, then transitioned into her current role in 2018. She has over two decades of experience in program development and working with at-risk women and children in school settings and domestic violence programs.
Fred Palmer, Employment Services Manager (New in 2020)
Fred Palmer oversees the Hand Up and Re-Entry Programs. Prior to working for Homeward Alliance, Fred managed the Inclusive Health Collaborative clinic at the Murphy Center which provides physical/behavioral healthcare services for people experiencing homelessness and veterinary care for their pets. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and is pursuing his Master’s degree in Public Health.
Jackie Marks, Murphy Center Director (three years of service)
Jackie joined Homeward Alliance’s staff in 2017. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to Homeward Alliance, Jackie served as a Case Manager at Catholic Charities for six years.
Katina Norwood, Housing Services Director (two years of service)
Katina is a graduate of Taylor University and holds a Bachelor’s of Social Work. She has experience in the community mental health field. Katina was the first Case Manager in our Housing First Initiative, in addition to her more recent experience as the One Village One Family Program Manager.
Serena Thomas, Community Programs Director (new in 2020)
Serena oversees Homeward Alliance’s programs that are volunteer-run and community-facing, as well as product procurement and distribution. She has worked at multiple local nonprofits serving children and families facing poverty, and prior to that in high-tech, holding Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Math.
Thom Munholland BA, CAT, CPFS, Housing Case Management Supervisor (new in 2020)
Thom holds two degrees in Psychology and will complete his master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado in 2021. Prior to Homeward Alliance, Thom was the Supervisory Case Manager with the COR3 program at Volunteers of America. Thom is a Certified Addiction Technician and a Certified Peer and Family Specialist.
